Making Life Work – #6 Managing Anger

Play

We can live life the way God intended.  One of the challenges we face that keeps us from living this kind of extraordinary life is anger.  Sadly, most of us know from experience that one angry word or one angry action can cost us for years. Unmanaged, it will cost us in our relationship with God, our relationship with people and it will lower our quality of life.  Anger will cost us, but it doesn’t have to be that way.  We can learn to manage it so it doesn’t provoke us to negative or destructive thoughts, words and actions.  We can manage our anger if we will:

1.  Name It
2.  Delay it
3.  Learn from it

Proverbs 16:32  (ESV)
Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.
